Crude oil is essential to today's economy and carries real environmental risks. We take both facts seriously and describe our approach as it stands today.

Our position

An honest account of where we stand

As a trading company we do not produce, refine or transport oil ourselves. Our influence lies in the counterparties we choose, the vessels and service providers we accept and the standards we expect them to meet.

We do not yet publish a sustainability report or emissions data. When we make formal commitments, they will be specific and they will be reported against.

Priorities

What we focus on today

01

Safe and seaworthy vessels

We expect cargoes to be carried by vessels that meet the vetting, safety and pollution prevention standards customary in the international tanker market.
02

Responsible counterparties

We favour producers, terminals and shipowners with established safety and environmental practices.
03

Efficient voyages

Sensible routing and scheduling reduce waiting time, fuel use and cost. We plan deliveries with this in mind.
04

Compliance

We respect the environmental, maritime and trade laws of every jurisdiction a cargo passes through.
People

Conduct that reflects on everyone involved

Many people are involved in moving a single cargo, at sea and ashore. We expect our counterparties and providers to treat their crews and employees fairly and to keep them safe, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.

Discuss a cargo or a commercial relationship

We welcome enquiries from producers, refiners, traders, shipowners and financial institutions.
